About My husband, flyfishing near Biscuit Basin at Yellowstone. He was there to fish, I was there to, well.... three guesses and the first two don't count. :-) What a beautiful place to cast a line. My husband was so happy and content -- lost in his little fisherworld. He even caught a fish with one of the 650,000 flies he tied before the trip. :-)

I know this place, Carol. It's the navel of the world. A wonderful image of the center of the Earth with a positive human element. Outstanding.

One fish! Poor man. No one I know is into fishing so have not experienced that joy! ;)
This looks almost panoramic to me, a great composition and love it in b&w.

Gorgeous shot, great tones resemble an illustration. Im glad you understand the metaphysics of fishing as well. I never catch a thing, but puts man or woman in the heart of serene nature. Great photo.

Carol,

I think that the story you've told really helps this photo out. It gives us a feel for the time and day. Some images stand alone, some need that background to enhance them. I think this one really benifits from your short story.

As far as the image goes, I think I would have really liked to see this scene as a panoramic. I don't know what it is... but I envision more there and I feel that a panoramic might have given me that more. Especially deep in Yellowstone (i used to live an hour from there... its beautiful isn't it?!)

Great capture, kudos on a special moment. I hope its hanging on your fridge.

The exposure and composition are outstanding. Those clouds make this shot supurb! Very well done.
