John, I am not sure if the "proper" term in this case is macro, but it certainly has it's characteristics. The clarity and detail is really nice. Well done.

Yes it is still proper to call it a macro ( I don't really know but that's my opinion so I'm going to run with it!) And I was told this flower was echinacea, good for colds, which is why I thought you titled it nosy, as in running.

Thanks for your praise of my "macro," but if you look closely at the conditions, this shot was taken from a few feet away from the flower using the telephoto properties of my long zoom lens. Is it still proper to call it a "macro?" I'm not sure, would welcome your comments about that point.

Unfortunately I cannot lend you the name of this flower or any suggestions on making it any better. It is GREAT as is. Love the composition, the pedals jump right out of the frame. nice color and light. Great detail! SUPER WORK John. I like it alot.
