The Great Egret is a visitor to our Island, normally not found this far north. Possibly arrived after a storm. It appears the ducks are scheming a plan against the Egret.
Too bad about the lack of detail, I wonder if a better scan or better compression would have helped. Your shutter speed is a little slow for 400X, if hand-held. It is sure disappointing how close you have to be to retain clarity. I have had lots of similar experiences, with the same equipment. The colors seem washed out in the bright sun. Maybe a polarizer would have helped, at the expense of (even slower) exposure. Humorous caption.
