Hi Yazeed!

I hardly can see any "spirit" on such images, especially when the re-touch intoduces such bad artefacts. The highlights of the wood look much like "metal". The textures were blown up to such a degree that their conbtrasts are unnatural - this is what I see on the post. Less re-touch would be more in this case.

The image that ypu uploaded to photo.net looks much better than this one here. It lacks the "metallic" sharpness of this one but it looks way more like wood. This one here is almost aluminium, Yazeed.

Cheers!

Nick

Dear Nick .
The image after the amendment you made you are good, too. But I feel it lacks the spirit. And I made from this amendment, of course. But I would like to inform you.
1 - The reason for the severity of exposure on the camera is a 0.3-g is that the Nikon camera. When dealing with image gives an increase in the exposure. For this reason I am doing by making -0.3
2 - I know very well how much is the image that is used by the flash are not good. In order to try to avoid brightness caused by the flash. I made flash exposure -1 . I manage to address the image as it pleases me. In order to able to get to these results without the leave no trace in the use of flash.
This is what I think personally and as a result of practice and experience in this field.
I repeat my thanks and my respect .
Yazeed

Thanks a lot for the info and the attachment, Yazeed!

Well, the original is definitely a case of strong underexposure. The histogram will tell you about that. It was such a strong underexposure that even the contrasts were diminished and so the focus looks even less sharp than it really was. In such cases it is very hard, if not impossible, to turn it to a "normal looking" exposure wothout introducing all the artefacts I was talking about in my last message. So we forget about "leveling to a normal degree".

A good compromise seems to be to partially adjust levels for some good contrast, still in the domain of underexposure but not as dark and contrastless. Then we also apply a slight little bit of USM, and we get the attached result. It does look dark but now the wooden textures and the browns are better, I guess.

Cheers!

Nick

Partially adjusted levels for a bit more contrast and applied a bit of USM then.

Dear Kallol .
Thank you so much my friend for visit and comment .
In fact, this picture is a small section of the door is too old. Minor at least 300 years exactly.
Circular shape metal. They are spikes that demonstrate the many door panels of wood with some force.
And curved lines are the bark of wood .
All my regards ............

Dear Nick .
Thank you so much .
In fact I did not understand what the message was exactly. But what I understood them.
It must be clearly less than that. And this is true. Perhaps this was due to become the size of the program.
I have many of these tests may be sent later to the site.
I sent you a reply to the letter of .

The thumb attratced my attention for its shaoes and colors, Yazeed, and the fullsized image shows them in such a good maanner. Especially the bottom half with all its rich matured browns and contours.

But there is something that seems unnatural to me too, especially on the top half of the image. I mean the typical "matalization" lime on so many images of Fabio Keiner here, in UF. The contrasts and details are so strong and hard that the wood almost shows the visual characteristic of metal. It is enough to see the scratches on the top half, which appear like dreaded rectangle groups of an exaggerated sharpening. Could you please attach the original before you did any additional "refinements"??

Cheers!

Nick
