Thanks for the info Yamil. So far, I haven't had a lot of time to try out my new lens. I posted one today. I'll be driving to Cape Cod tomorrow, so I hope to spend a lot of time shooting some shore birds at the Wellfleet Wildlife centre. I will take my tripod and get some practice in. I'll talk to you when I get back next week. Thanks again. Andre

Hey Andre, Hope yu are well. For birds in perch I used a Manfrotto tripod, 580EX flash and a remote shutter. Under low light conditions I also used a tripod. As you know, tripod is prefered whenever possible for maximum image sharpness. However, hand holding is the only option for action shots like flying birds or action shots.
Sounds like you got some nice equipment. I can't wait to see your bird images.
Keep in touch.
Yamil

Good shot of him, Yamil, and I like the composition of the branch, too. Dave.

Hi Yamil. I was just wondering, do you use a tripod or a monopod for your bird images? I just bought myself a nice prime Nikon 300mm F4 with a 1.4 teleconverter, so I hope to be posting a few bird images in the next little while. Andre
