Hi Bruce, it is arid this time of year. The country is open and lots of Junipers, Limber Pine, Sage and grasses. Waited for the moon to start it's descent before shoot off. Thanks for the comments and support! Be well, Stan

Very creative shot Stan. It looks like my kind of country. I took some shots of the moon setting over the Huachuca Mt of Sunday morning.

Thanks Mojgan, I waited for this moment to make it more than a moon shot. The mountain in the rear is one I have been on top of. The hill in the foreground are a mile from my door. It is my view from my home.Glad you liked it. Your support is appreciated and you are a good friend.
Be well and have a great day, Stan

Joe, did get a little beer but adjusted the monitor again and saw the sensor spots. Blew it off and should be good to go. I liked the crop as well. I got the moon as the dawn was breaking and was able to get more moon and less reflection off of it. Thanks for the input. I appreciate the honesty and real help. It helps a lot. Found a part for my other monitor and will have it back in the not to distant future. I will start looking harder for the sensor dirt.
Be well, Stan

Not sure if you are kidding about the beer on the lens Stan but the spots in the shot is dust/dirt on your sensor.
Nice shot, with good exposure to not blow out the moon. I agree with Sue O's cropping suggestion.
Regards,
Joe

Shaken and spewed, not stirred! To old to get out of the way. The young bucks are dangerous. Enclosed is a sample of my demise. Beer bath followed!

Just changed monitors due to a loss of a Apple Cinema Display, got an older IBM for $5 at a thrift store. Did not see the sensor spots until you pointed them out. Thanks and you can mess with my images anytime! I appreciate the heads up and like your crop as well. Might have been beer from golf league on the lens. I captured some party boys Wed Night and did not notice the spray from them on the lens. Good eye and nice critique.
Be well, spotty Stan

Hi Stan. Looks like you need to clean your lens or your sensor, guy! It's a bit spotty which kinda detracts from the image. I think it would help the composition, too, if you were to crop the top a bit, moving the horizon out of center.
Forgive me if you don't like ppl messin' with your images, but I took the liberty to photoshop a crop and to do away with some of the spots closest to the moon.
Cheers!
SueO

PS: Paolo is right; it is VERY painterly.

Thanks Paolo, it was taken early this morning before the sun was all the way up. The moon was just setting as the sun was coming up behind me.
Be well and liked your work, Stan
