About Taken a little before sunset in Chelsfield, UK, I liked the lines these hills formed and pulled over to capture the view. Unfortunately I couldn't get any further into the field due to a fence with an overpopulation of stinging nettles :)

You captured a lovely landscape ! You could use a gradual greyfilter to make the sky darker.

Megan, you are doing great. Your pictures are getting better all the time. Great composition and wonderful colors. Maybe playing with PS a little the sky could get better. Try the levels and see what happens. Good work. Don.

I for one am enjoying this series of the English country side, you have a good honest knack for it Meg. I am also a fan of counter slopping hills, forming a v down the middle and leading your eye on. The detailed nearby field works well into a bigger expanse. The only niggle with this shot is the sky, I read your explanation below but it still would have been nice to get a polarised sky. Well done Meg, keep them coming :)

great landscape because o the nice green - yellow colours at the ground and the very nice sunlight that support the colours!

Megan - the fields are beautiful. Thanks for explaining about the polarizer, because that was my first thought, too. I think maybe you could have polarized just a bit - not fully, to get some additional contrast. Since you didn't, the sky is rather washed out and uninteresting, so maybe wome of the sky could be cropped away. Of these two "problems" I think the stick is more of a problem and would have been easily solved by moving a bit; of course I wasn't there, so I don't know what other obstacles might have been in your way. I hope I don't sound overly critical, but you captured some wonderful light and color here, and taking care of that stick, and possibly the sky would make a good image great - Bob T.

Hermen,

Unfortunately as it was quite late I had to choose between the sky and losing the sheen on the flowers. As they seem to shine naturally, even when the sun is behind cloud it seemed a shame to diminish their colour. So the polariser came off, and the UV went on :) A shame though, I agree with you.

Well composed, good light.
Did you use a polarising filter? Might help to get more contrast in the clouds.

Ottima composizione e bei colori!! Io avrei provato a scurire un po' il cielo.
Ciao Alberto
