An attractive enough shot, but I can understand your disappointment. And while I sympathise with Harry who wants to defend his country, I don't really think there is anything offensive here in what you show or what you say. And personally I share many of the views that you have expressed on your pictorial tour.

I actually like this shot Rog, but seems it's raised a few temperatures. Art in any form is subjective and open to all sorts of interperetation. People shouldn't be so sensitive

Harry what I saw was the empty fields .. as mute evidence of a once intricate and complex culture now deserted that's all no more and no less

I'm Greek Roger, besides you OFFENSIVE statement and TITLE; Greek Islands are under government agricultural regulations don't forget the country is part of EU, what you see it was just the tourist side!

thats just it Harry, I learned photography years ago now I am trying to unlearn all those bad bad pictorial habits.. and like it or not the truth is out there about the Greek Islands even with some of the locals chipping in in support. So lifes tough and so is travelling as an artist in the Greek Islands.. check 'em sometime your gonna love it

yeah well I am glad I went tho but the brochures never tell the truth and to me to have an entire islands population centered around the tourists is a bit chancy.. they had a wonderful culture but have given it away to chase the tourist dollar.. I have no problem with makin a buck dont get me wrong but it seems the entire island is wholly centred round the tourist industry.. a couple of shopkeepers we spoke were glad the season was coming to an end.. but no one is involved in agriculture anymore and thousands of years worth of development infrastructure and stuff goes out the window.. its just a shame
