About Beautiful park, pretty manmade waterfeatures (this appears to be a little slice of paradise), nice nature trails, and the scene of burial places for chiefs and in 1790 was the scene of the last giant battle for supremacy by King Kamehameha. This battle was horrific and so many died that the bodies clogged up the streams. The Valley is what is left of the central caldera of the West Maui Volcano. Exposure 1/15 sec @ F14, 85 mm - no flash, and a very cloudy day. My shots of Iao Needle did not turn out well. Have to wait for Rob to post one of his.

With all the snow we have right now, it's great to see such a picture of greenery and gentle flowing water. It looks so calming.

Beautiful greens, lovely waterfall in the rocks, nicely composed Jan, with great light and sharpness throughout. And a very interesting about too. I spent about 3 years on the island of Oahu in the 80's, it was great...:)

I know at the time I was at Maui I had a film camera and well lets say the film and delevoping all the film cost about as much as my airfare. I sure loved it there. I was going to go to the big Island this year but the day I was going to make reservations they had a big earthquake. Excellent capture and photograph.
