I was going to take a perspective shot from over the bridge "Sidi Gaber bridge" of the main famous street in Alexandria which called "Abu Qeer st." where you can see liquidity of the traffic (we can take amazing long exposing pictures at night), This street is so well-organized in the city, traffic lights is found there as the traffic officers, even cleaning workers are doing their job perfectly...
As I hadn't have a determination to take a journalism shot like that but the picture never lies, when the traffic light turned to the green in my site and I've became ready to take the shot, unfortunately, a huge numbers of people went across the street and they blocked the traffic, as usual :(

Technical info:
PS had been used here to keep the color of the green traffic light on the upper right side besides the red color of the back cars signals to show the real collision which was found in this moment as I think.

In Sidi Gaber area, Abu Qeer St. takes place between a "train" station and a "tram" station, Most of people who come to travel by the train, some of them be afraid of missing the train so they take the shortest way through the street instead of using stairs, others be tired because of the travelling and some of them are old or unable to use the "unelectric" stairs, considering that Sidi Gaber train station is so active because people comes from everywhere in egypt, and mostly they pass by the Abu Qeer St. which it often be crowded as a main street and afternoon people driving fast after a long work day and they want to reach home...
In some societies, people imitate others when they see them doing something whatever if it was right or wrong - as an accomplished fact - and if someone asked me that why do I do it, I'll tell him carelessly: " Look around! all people doing the same "
*LOL* Very funny photo with appropriate title. Good use of selective colouring. Nice aboutsection. You´re so right. People in many ways imitate each other especially when we´re a bit insecure then we don´t want to stand too much out from the crowd. This must also be the reason why there is something like masshysteria, people tramping each other to death because rain starts falling in a stadion and such. It sounds absolutely crazy, but I believe it has to deal with this human behaviour imitating and responding almost like fleeding animals. Best wishes Annemette
