Very impressive picture. A post-expressionism picture, I like it very much. I don't know if you see it like me... This one is very expressive with a lot of mouvment. That what I like in photography Leonie. The mix of colors is wonderful.

Hi Peter... :)...

Trees are great subjects... So diverse and interesting from all angles... We all look at the world differently and that's what makes photography a wonderful medium...

Onie...eventually it goes away, but not too quickly...just ask Bek, she was hanging out the car window when shooting her "sideways" image, still wearing her award(s) grin, got the shot but...had to stop and pick the bugs outta her teeth. As long as you don't act like a happy pooch on a car trip, you can wear that grin for a while...and the cat, well...disregard the look, don't they always give us strange looks? Like they know something we don't! ;)

Take care...hugs to you...Robin

LOL... Robin, I felt an odd, strong heat sensation... No obvious sign of a bite or lump when I looked, however, when looking in mirror saw face was quite a bit on the *flushed* side and grinning that wouldn't stop (face actually quite sore)...

While trying to work out if it was a one of those *time of life* moments it hit me... ~~GRIN~~... I'd been BIPed... Realised I'd be a wee bit silly turning up at the Doc's and trying to explain a BIP, so, riding it out and things will settle in a few days...

... a question tho'... Does the grin thing go away???, getting strange looks from the cat...

Thanks kindly Nice Lady... :) and huge HUGS every day...

Brilliant Onie, perfectly brilliant!! The amazing colours in the bark, great shapness, perfect light...waffle, waffle, waffle...but what I really want to say is this is a feast for the eyes!!
It looks to me like sea water and kelp over rocks on the beach. Love it!!

Hi Dave... :)... Actually, the light was quite eerie... We have so much smoke in the air from the big bushfires... Visibility down to anywhere from 25-1000 yrds... Depending on weather that is...

Feel like a cheat as really not a lot to do other than see, set up, shoot... :) Just finding the time to do it is another matter... :)

Thanks kindly for time and comment Dave, appreciated.. :)

~~GRIN~~ Larry, those colours, except for a levels adjustment, are truly the tree alone presenting itself... They are great...

Thanks muchly... :)

Wow, what a very interesting macro. Such great shapes and colors, Onie. Job well done. The light seems perfect as does the composition. It is so abstract-like. Almost like a painting or drawing with the various shapes.

Best wishes,
Dave

~~GRIN~~ Hi Sweet Lady Ani...

I jumped the fence today, mainly to get some shots of the smoke haze, but, was waylaid by these... Silly thing is, you know and admire them just haven't had the time to go capture...

Will think seriously on what you have suggested ~~SMILE~~... Promise... Ruly Truly I do... Finding that afore mentioned time is the killer...

I was extra pleased with these... so thank you so much for your enthusiasm :)... It's catchy... :)

LOL... I love the blossums from these too, but so high up would need to don a parachute and jump to get near them...

Another tree, near our front gate, the trunk turns bright lime and hot pink when it rains...

Thanks again CC... appreciate your time and comment... :)
