The shooting conditions may have been terrible (what difficult weather we have here in Ottawa) but nontheless it is a GREAT shot! How in the world did you get close to this guy? I've been trying to get a decent shot of a Wood Duck but I keep spooking them away.

Hi Arthur,
There is not bad weather for an excellent photographer like you.
When I saw your first Wood Duck I felt jelous and did not know that soon I will get my chance to photograph one of these beautiful ducks.
With this awesome picture you are probing to your self that even under bad weather conditions you still can come out with excellent images.
I usually wait until the weather is sunny, but after reading your about, I am considering to go shooting under "bad weather".

Stunning picture (2). These guys are so beautiful and so hard to photograph. They never let me get close. I must try a different tactic. I hope we can meet up soon so I can pick (peck?) your brain. I know what you mean about another shot of these, Art, they're so colourful and well marked! I always think I've got enough shots until I see the chance for one more "perfect" shot! You've captured a very nice reflection on this one as well as the spectacular colour.
