About A Harvestman (Phalangium opilio) is close related to spiders, but it isn't a real spider. The body shown here is about 4mm long in real life. To "enlarge" it, I mounted a 50mm 1.7 lens (fully open diaphragm) on my 100mm macro, to get real close to the subject. This additional lens acted then as a fully "corrected" magnifying glass, with virtually no loss of light!
