Paul, that is a great shot. Unfortunately I was there a little early in the month (the only time I could get away) and the crabs and birds were not in like they probably are now. I saw only two Red Knots and the pictures, while adequate, are unexeptional.
The D200 is brand new as is the big glass I was using for this shot. The trip was a chance to try them both out. So far I really like it. I have a D70 and I think the D200 is better laid out.
The problem with fly rods is, like cameras and lenses, you can never have too many. Mine go from 4 weight to twelve weight. Not all weights between but a few duplicates. Then there are the reels........
David, first off thaks for commenting on my image. it was a great battle and now I am armed with a 3 weight, the fighting only gets better. secondly the minute that I clicked on to your gallery this image brought back some awsome memories. Reeds beach, what a magical place. http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=579746 This is my rendition of Reeds beach a few years ago. You have a real nice gallery, keep up the good work and thanks for taking me back a few years!! Hey how are you getting along with your D200, this will be my next purchase
