Thanks for your comment Dave. Looks like I was to hasty and clicked on the wrong category by mistake and didn't catch it. I have been having trouble with the frames also but I have now corrected both.
About a year or so ago I got a data recording back for the camera so for the last 170 rolls the exposure information is indisputable. I double checked and yes, it was at f/8. As far as the lens goes, it was at 180mm.
Nice view, Tom. So, how does this qualify as a sports image? You've got good separation from the background, and I like the choice of a long lens. However I would have liked all three plants to be in sharp focus, at the sacrifice of more background clutter. This looks like it was shot wide open, although your description of f8 is noted.
