Stan, you are getting really good at spotting artistic beauty in nature. I really love the colors here but especially how the clouds seem to complement the curves in the tree branches and your very effective choice of cropping/framing. You have turned a rather plain winter/late fall scene of bare tree branches into something very exciting and warm. Very well done! :-)

Thanks Lorcan for your great comment and question.

If you are referring to the silky water effect, I used a tripod and neutral density 4 filter to achieve this 3.2 sec. exposure.

Welcome to Usefilm... post some of your shots soon! :-)

Beautiful evening sky and silhouette, but what's the reference for to "mother" in the title? Is this a dedication to your mother or just an appreciation for Mother Nature?

You're looking "cool" there Stan... a real life "James Dean", lemme tell ya! ;-) Very good portrait with clever lighting reflecting the budget of average photographers in this current economic climate! One to be proud of! Nothing old here... very "now" and masterfully accomplished! Good job to both you and Marty! :-) Happy Thanksgiving, my friend... Brigitte

Oh, I love the title too, very fitting and poetic... the image gave me a sense that the tree has million stories to tell by it's many branches that seem to be reaching out to anyone who will listen............ a dance works too :-)

Very nice portrait, Peter... chosing to place the light behind the subject was very wise... love how her hair glows. You did very well with this and exposed her face perfectly.

Yes, he looks soo sweet, Kenan. Lovely photo... but to me the expression says "Will you take me home so I can love you your whole life?" I wish I could take him.... sooo sweet!

Thank you so much aZiZ for your nice comments and generous rating. As to the attachement, personally, I like the black background much better with your image because of the fantastic light which causes the leaves to glow. My leaves are pretty flat... I think the tones in the background give the whole image a little bit of a lift.... but that's just my personal opinion. :-) Thank you again! Have a wonderful day!

The patterns in the landscape are very nice, that alone would make a very good subject. Sad documentary shot, but what I find really disturbing are the ropes around the animals front feet (can't see the back feet) and it's neck. I hate to think what life was like for this poor animal that perhaps this was it's only way out....
