Thoughtful, emotional, provocative..... I like your style, Andree! I too, like stills, in particular, monuments and statues which can evoke fears and memories. Keep up the good work!

Serenity is to me, a form of drama. This stands out with elegance, and I love the way you mix up your offerings! So well done, Jeanette...

Ian, congrats!! Really like your self-effacing humor....I think it's the flailing arms that give the impression that you're doing a penguin impersonation. Aside from that, the shot is simply fantastic! Sooo much detail has been absorbed with the extended shutter speed, the night sky is dream-like, and the overall composition worthy of my wall! Love it, my friend... ...Brad

Unusually soft, warm, and serene. I cannot put my finger on the "feeling" that is conveyed here. It has such a fresh, summer effect! Very nice, Sulivam... ...Brad

Ursula, I continue to be impressed with the unique quality of your close-up floral shots! They have such a distinctive flavor....with the muted, dark grey background that brilliantly exposes the beauty of the flower! I'm certain that it has to do with your exposure...likely a wide-open aperture and lightning shutter speed. Whatever your secret is, you use it in combination with a wonderful sense of perspective. I really love your frequent choice of shooting from ground level.... ambitious and imaginative. I respect and enjoy your work, Ursula, and appreciate your kind support... thanks! ....Brad

Hi Hugo,
To me, this is a very Atypical image from you. I am much more accustomed to shots that play geometric elements with/against each other. I am impressed that your incredible eye functions equally well in the wilderness/landscape environment. This has an almost "divine" feel to it, with the bold sky seemingly "presenting" the rest of the composition... like a choral introduction! The uneven treeline sews the two halves of the shot together nicely, breaking up any hint of symmetry.
A warm, wonderful image that says "goodness". Beautiful work, Hugo! ..Brad

Laura, this is composed very nicely. Physically, it is well balanced, and there is a sense of nobility to the birds profile. Even the muted background colors are effective. Nice work! ..Brad

Chuck, I've been on a sabatical from UF for a month, but wanted to acknowledge your kind comments. These places beg for attention, and I've found that if you are clever enough (or a crook), you can get in! When I return to UF, I will look forward to your images, which are some of the most nostalgic, and well explained on the site. Thank you, Chuck.. ..Brad

Hi Sulivam,
What seperates this from the standard coastline shot is the incredible balance! Compositionally, you have utilized the space to perfection. As a result, the photo not only draws your attention, it holds it.... Wonderful work! ..Brad

Thilo, I think your use of space is remarkable, here. The 10mm choice was the right one, here... and I agree, it does have that "looking up at the ominous and dizzying heights" War of the Worlds feel! I like the heavy saturation levels, and the grit that gives this that "Sci-Fi" feeling as well... Nicely done, my friend!

Thilo, I absolutely love the wide angle perspective! That, combined with the creative and effective use of angles and lines makes for a terrific overall composition. The sun shining brightly in the background also creates a nifty "lack" of detail in the shadowed objects, lending an air of mystery... Outstanding work, my friend! ...Brad

Thank you, Michael. Very kind words.. There was a quite a bit of post-processing here. I went for the "bleached", overexposed look purposely. I know what you mean about the "burned out" wall... I wanted that icy cold feel. ...Brad

Michael, no flash...no auxilliary light source. Just really super slow shutter speeds, to pick up all available light, and a lot of post processing with contrast and light levels. I'm glad you like it, and appreciate your feedback!
