Lovely composition, makes me long for the good old Cape - looks slightly over-saturated - well done for keeping the grass in the foreground. Regards

Striking silhouette, Wes - great composition , well done for keeping the dark parts top and bottom.

Gerhard, do you mean "paint by numbers"? I can't see any such structure on my side - it certainly did not appear on the original either. Thanks for commenting on my iamge! Regards

Goeie grysperd, maar dis pragtig! In good years, masses of these cosmos flowers line our roads, here in southern Natal, and every water colour painter (of whom we have many around here) have churned out stacks of cosmos paintings over the years. But this beats anything that I've had the honour to see - brilliant homage to this humble plant, Joggie.

This is the most exciting horizon-hanger that I've seen in a long time! Amazing composition - the footprints running across in a diagonal line, is a strong compositional plus (the orange blob in the foreground is distracting, what a pity) - congratulations on a most original image, Iman.

"Yard Mirror" made me realize that I'd admired your work before, Rick, did not comment at the time - you create stunning images - unconventional and very well designed. Thanks for commenting on my image. Regards

Well, this certainly is an interesting approach - I love the shallow DOF and the focus only on the froth - very well executed.

What an incredible image - art in the truest sense - there is even a reflection of the red bubble agaist the pilar, right! Exquisite - judging by the rest of your portfolio, you are a remarkably creative photographer - this is the first time I notice your work, Gerhard, but from now on I'm going to look out for more of your images, that's for sure.

Incredible - my reaction is one of total disbelief - can't even begin to understand how you achieved this effect, Arif - congratulations - this image is pure art!

Very dramatic capture, emphasized by the reversed image. Looks like studio work - well done! What is it with people, stealing works of art for financial gane - hope you prosecuted - actually you should disclose the name of the framer, Peter.

What a lovely "farewell" image, Joggie - you are such a master of composition - not a thing out of place, exquisite colours and detail, from the bobbing surfers (it boggles my mind that anyone could attempt the icy waters at Blouberg) to the reflections of the seagulls. Please diclose the secret behind capturing a sunset without flare - I have asked so many photographers, but the answers are always vague. Hope the move went well. Groetnis

Lovely moment, chris - slightly over-exposed - great shallow DOF - would like to hear your rationale behind the coarse background - Regards

Great portrayal of the quotation, chris - the shadow against the wall emphasizing the man's hopelessness - pity the shadow is over-exposed - I like symbolic gesture of the foot into the frame - although I can appreciate the poetry in an image, I trust that you're not expressing a sense of personal despair here.

What a charmer! How fortunate you are to be near such beautiful animals, often posting photographs of them here on Usefilm, Sylvia. Pity the cat's face disappears slightly against the detail of its body, but great capture nonetheless.

Thanks for calling my image "marvellous", Miguel. Patagonia seems like the most intriguing part of the world, it's allways been on my wish-to-see list. I agree, your crop of my image is great. Regards from East Griqualand, South Africa.

Lovely image, Larry - well done on the split-second expression and frozen movement - interesting composition, placing the empty space behind her back to emphasize the backward glance. (Thanks for commenting on my images.) Regards

Thanks, Stef - appreciate your honesty. I left the foreground because it (and, in fact the trees in the background) lends a sense of space to the scene, emphasizing the plight of the lamb. Regards

Lovely image, Robin - the flowers form a striking focal point. I agree with Nicole about the reflection of the flash - would like the red object (motor car?) to the right to be cropped out as well. Regards, Lydia

Thanks, Sarel - Appreciate your honest opinion. The reason why I cropped out the foreground originally, is the rather empty-looking dam on the right - I prefer the closer crop, although I must admit, I would have preferred a longer driveway leading into the scene, had it not been for the ol' dam. Do you still think this is an improvement?

I agree with Mary Brown - no matter how hard I try - from all the flare I get, my sunsets always look like windmills. Are you saying that you did not use filters or polarizers of any kind to achieve the detail in the sun, Patrick? A lovely shot!

I'm a succer for classic photographs - lovely image - reminds me so much of the "Just Joey" we get over here (wonder if rose names are recognized internationally)- are you sure it's not a whee bit over-saturated? Beautiful nevertheless.

Well, keep them coming, Jan - I prefer this one to the other First Attempt, simply because there are no over-exposed spots on this one. What a magnificant bird! How lucky you are to have come close enough for the 300mm lens - the birds in South Africa are much too suspicious to trust me and my camera!
