George...Just finished checking out your portfolio. I lived in San Diego while in high school and my wife and I go there as often as we can. You are lucky to call it home. Thanks for your positive comments.

You have captured the Artist's Village in a most superb way. The late afternoon sun seems to add a magic ambiance to this very special place. There is so much intense and varied color here that it can be a real challenge to shoot.

Pretty cool picture. I think it would look better in color. Especially if the door is a vibrant color.

Wonderful capture with the flag flapping in the breeze and the sun behind the sail. Beautiful lines in the sails and great detail in the rigging. I enjoy this image very much. Cheers - Ann

Ahh Grand Canyon images are always wonderful. I like the way you have the foreground on a doagonal to the background. HArd to photograph because of the vast distances. Nice job. Cheers - Ann

Actually Lyle I was just kidding and per the attached yours needs to stay in color because it is so saturated that the conversion lends too many shadows, so in essence I disagree with myself from the beginning.

While I basically like this version of yours I don't really like the composition all that much because it does not really show the expamsiveness of the canyon especially of the 'South Rim' which is huge!

Thanks for sharing nevertheless and maybe go a bit wider next time to include some polarized sky and luckily with some nice clouds also.

Best of Regards!

Lyle
This is a Great Shot, I have been to the Grand Canyon Three Times and know how hard it is to get a good shot. Most of the time the lighting contrast exceeds the cameras range, but you truly captured the beauty of the canyon.
Thanks
Frank

Hi Lyle,
I really like this image. Great job of making 'old glory' really stand out in the scene. You have some beautiful picture opportunities down in SD - it's always been one of my favorite locations in So. California.

Thanks for the comments on my Bishop image. I'm with you in loving that area. Matter of fact, that entire section of the 395 is simply loaded with beauty.

Best regards,
Bob
