Good one, ed. The placement of the figures is excellent, works as an abstract, simple composition.

A good idea this., maybe it could be improved with some tweaking of the contrast with curves in PS.
Regards, Nathan.

Hi, ed, this is quite amazing. I prefer the original version, the overall softness of tone seems to complement the building shape.
I'm interested in what you say about your 'muses'; I'm a great haunter of the art galleries in Edinburgh, both permanent collections and special exhibitions, which inspires me to make images, though not necessarily particular shots or styles. I enjoyed the Ed Ruscha and Jasper Johns shows recently, do you know their work?
To some extent, my starting to look for detail in real things, that might be (mis)interpreted as abstract art, is inspired guys like them.

Hi Peter. Thanks so much for your feedback, which was great to have. I actually fiddled with the levels for a while, and settled for one which made the building melt into the sky deliberately. Looking back, your levels bring out the sky which make it more interesting, so you are right really. Thanks and best
Ed

Thanks for these comments. Just for those who doubt that 20 could come at once...this was the 50th anniversary of this type of bus - they perfectly lined up (with chalk marks on the road) lots of old buses. It was an easy shot! Here's another, less interesting version. Ta. Ed

Wow.. Love this one too. Were they truly lined up like this or did you add some? Very nice capture. Tara : )

Very good composition ! The clouds really match the structure .. adding more level correction would make these textures come foreward more pronounced. I add a little try of myself !

Hey Omaar. Why do people always see more than I do in these photos? Different headlights, a missing plum. I don't know. Keep up your excellent work. Get some sleep too! Best Ed

great ps work -- love the minimal color, diagonal composition and the fact that the only grren bus visible has different headlights - - K

By the way - what's an anorak??

Brilliant shot, ed! Are these real buses or miniature replicas? They look too clean to be real!

AJ - grained it on purpose in PS... will perhaps add the original fyi. Original just didn't seem interesting enough - and seeing as these are antique busses thought I'd 'decay' the image a bit... cheers

There's fantastic potential in this (did you notice the closest green bus has different headlights from the rest? No I'm not an anorak either...) But I'm getting a very grainy image with some confusion at the top left. Are there any others in the series?
