Hi Aguinaldo,

nice to meet you again ... the world is small :-)
Great landscape with beautiful colors, but the contrast is a bit flat for my taste ... I played a bit with the levels in the green and the blue channel (raised the highlights) ... what do you think?

Greetings from Germany

Hi Kaj,

one word say it all: Perfect.
That wasn't an easy one ... difficult lighting, but you got it right.
Very interesting and unique.

Hi Javed,

very good macro, but I would prefer seeing the complete blossom ... it's too beautiful to see only a part of it, don't you think so?
On the other hand here we have more detail. A matter of taste as it seems.
The composition could be a little bit better ... the cam was a bit right of the blossom's center.

Hi Ileana,

that would be a great image for the project "Poetry in Pictures". But I would have placed the window exactly in the middle and would have cropped the "column".

Hi Dietmar,

nice, very dramatic, but in the left half it becomes very obvious, that you exchanged the sky.

Greetings to Essen ;-)

Hi Ken,

though it's a great selfportrait, I'm missing a bit more room above the hat ... not much, only a bit. Sorry, I'm always searching for something to make an image perfect.

Hi John,

very nice scenery ... sorry I don't like the B&W effect ... I would prefer it in color only.
BTW ... would be a nice scene for IR, too :-)

Hi Martin,

wow, that's a difficult night scene. The highlights of the skyscrapers are overexposed and in the foreground the shadow detail could be a bit better ... a bit dark there.
I would have taken this shot twice ... two different exposures ... one for the background and one for the foreground. I then would have combines these two exposures in Photoshop.
A nice shot, though.

Hi Martin,

very nice ... except the fence in the lower right. The contrast could be a bit better ... I bet even autolevels in Photoshop will do wonders.
Here's what it will look like, if you do a levels adjustment manually for every color channel separately.

Hi Subha,

great landscape, though I'm not 100% satisfied with the colors ... for my taste the fod should be snow white ... it's a bit red casted.

Hi Suvomoy,

hey, Messiah doesn't need a boat ... he can walk on water ;-)
Great shot, though I'm not 100% satisfied with the composition ... the boats on the right shouldn't be cropped. I would have turned the cam a bit to the right.

over 75 views and only 2 comments, strange. Are they all too shy? :-)
Very creative and unusual. That's the pop art of the future ;-)

Hi Edmond,

what a view, great.
A bit overexposed, don't you think so? Only the highlights ... check the red lights for example, they have a bright corona. I think, one f-stop smaller would have been better.
I tend to underexpose and lighten up in Photoshop to retain more shadow detail.
The overall exposure is nice though ... I'm just searching a way to make it perfect.

Hi JL,

I love that flower ... I have two of them :-)
I like this picture, but I have a personal problem with the composition. I would have turned the flower by 180?, so that it's green origin lies in the middle of the black frame and the two blossom stretch into the gray. What do you think??
Oh, no, wait ... I have a better idea ... instead of turning the flower, let's turn the frames by 180?. I think, that's better for the dynamic of the flower.

Hi JL,

very nice landscape, though I think, you zoomed a bit too much ... I miss a bit more sky above the tower. If you would have zoomed out a bit, we also could see the complete wave at the bottom.
Another problem is, that the sky doesn't really fit. Around the tower it's perfect, but right from the platform on which the tower is located, you can clearly see, that it's not the original sky.
That wasn't an easy task.

Hi JL,

ah, a second one of this nice place. Sorry, I prefer the onther one ... here it's too clearly visible, that you exchanged the sky ... or am I wrong? The perspective of the first shot was more interesting, too. Sorry.

Hi Bob,

yes, I got a tip of a german insect photographer, that chitin should be IR transparent ... he wasn't quite shure and told me, that it might be worth a try. Yep, it was worth it :-)

Hi Linda,

very nice, as all of your portraits. But I would prefer both eyes in the light ... the right one is partially covered in the shadow.
But the composition is great.
