Thanks Stan, I was fortunate that he paused just as I took the shot. It was overcast and the light was poor, so this one turned out ebtter than I though it would. Cheers.

Nice details and great capture of the tongue sticking out. The color and texture of the fur are really nice.

thanks Stan, a lucky shot as I was leaning over a railing trying to keep still. I think this is John Fitzgerald, Australian double's champion. I'm not a tennis fan, so I'm not great at recognizing the players. Thanks for the visit.

Thanks, Fan Hu, I didn't think of trying to blur the background at the time. The simple solutions often escape me. Thanks for visiting and a special thank you for the suggestions.
Cheers,

It seems you crop the picture to 6x6 format. The man behind is rather distracting. What if you use a lens with big appeture, say F1.8 to make the background blur and the lady would be outstanding? Or you just use wide angle to take the whole scene of burning candle and people around to recorde the atmosphere as documenatory.

This is a really fine intimate portrait, Andy. The soft overall feel really brings out the life in those wonderful, wide eyes.
Very nice!
