Russell, I noticed this flower after I watered the lawn, late in the evening. The sun was shining directly into the flower, everything around it was in the shade. I thought it looked unusual. Thanks for your comment. You have some very nice flower photos also.

Danny,

The angle from which you've shot this blossom makes it hard for me to tell exactly what I'm looking at. But the zowie colors make me keep looking anyway. It's almost an abstract.

Danny,

you make me envious with your flower shots! great job. Did you use a flash or is this natural lighting? The water dopplets really add to the effect.
Keep it up.
Later my friend

I like this little guy. Seems that in most frog pictures, the frog is just sitting there being a frog. This one's obviously up to something, and you caught him in the act.

Same thoughts on the lighting, but it's equally good in other respects, especially since he's looking right into the lens

mixing up the lighting is always worth it, and that makes this one stand out from a ringlight flash or single source macro shot (not to mention a cool frog perched on a plant, you don't see that everyday either - sharp=good) its just the ratio that needs work here, looks like the lamp to the right is on the money, so toning down the back/sidelight flash will pull the emphasis off the plant and put it back entirely on the frog
great work danny~

Nice work Danny. The delicate hue, the composition and the sharpness made this shot for me. You have a good eye.

Cheers!

Great DOF! Such true and natural colors. Great job of focusing on such a handsome lad(If by chance it was a lad?)

This is great. I've been trying to get some good shots of these showy garden plants and have found them surprisingly challenging subjects. You've done a great job here perhaps by focusing on something other than the flower itself. The background is great. Love that Tamron 90.

Nice shot! The good soft lighting brings out wonderful detail and lovely colours. Perfect DOF and smooth background. The worm is of course the icing on the cake. Well-done.

Neat effect with that reflection. I agree with the above, needs more space to bottom and left. Nice sharp focus, good saturation in the colours. Just wish that white line wasn't leading so brightly out from the nose.

Danny this is very good, but I am laughing because from the thumbnail I thought it was a frog in a cape, maybe I need to get off the computer

THIS is sweet, very vivid and clean - love it. (would like it moreso if you'd panned down and to the left to give some space in that direction tho)

How do I get to parties at your place? Not only for the women but for the wonderful shots to be taken.

Hey Dad, cool! I really like the painting in color with the girls in B&W.

Vincent, this was at a party at my house this past weekend and the girl on the left never goes without a beer at a party.

I do like this idea....a lot! The beauty on the right has a great expression and is posing nicely. I also like the left beauty leaning on her friend. However the beer bottle takes too much away for my taste. Can you zap it out??

Such an unusual bud; could almost be under abstract. I'd put this on my wall. In fact, it may displace John's Yellow Iris from my work 'puter desktop. Sorry, John.
