Heather, Interesting sculpture you own.
This image has a 3D feel to it. Have you tried a slight crop to the left - resulting in a squarer format?

whooosh!

[brain finally boots up] No, seriously. I have no idea what it is, so I must commend you on making a _really_ abstractish abstract. Ooops, sorry, I said I'll be serious, didn't I.... [reboot] So. I think you could have moved the camera a bit lower and to the right, to make the darker triangle in the lower right corner a bit larger. Right now it looks as if it got in there by accident. But other than that - it's cool. whooosh indeed.

[after re-reading what I wrote] Oh dear, what a silly comment. Sorry... ;-)

Hi all, thanks for the comments. The 'tilt' I think is perceptual. If you look between the hills at the water line behind, its straight, or possibly even slightly tilted the other way.
However, I did wonder when I first looked at this one whether to try & 'straighten' it. I guess from the comments I should give it a go! I'll try it & repost - see what you think?

Hi Heather, I agree with the above comments that rotating the pic would be desirable. It's a nice view though; certainly very different to that in the other pic :-)

Heather, forgive this comment, but it looks way out of level. I'm not sure if the shoreline is shaped such that it merely appears tilted, but even the roof lines look tilted.

The natural beauty of the area is obvious, though. There is no doubt that you enjoy living there!

The title is perfect. I love the way you filled the frame with these buildings - the treetops at the very bottom are the only signs of life - well, of living things - even though it's mind boggling how many people must live here. (Cropping the trees out would be a different, but not necessarily better, picture.) Heaven help the poor souls who live on the back sides of these. Well done!

Yes very crowded! Maybe the colors are a little bit pale! a better contrast between colors of buildings would give a greater effect!

I like the railing, instead. The mood really makes this picture, in my view. It reminds me of a ship at sea, looked at by the bridge of another vessel, more than anything else. I am giving it an almost perfect score, I really like it.
If they are ships they are surely going to crash into some iceberg, by the way ... and please don't tell me I have a worrying mentality.
Bye,Luca

I like the light, I think you are right about it. The shadows attract me to this picture, whereas the bottom of the broom and wheel really seem out of place.

PS: I just notice that the other comment is very similar, I wrote before reading it.

This looks like a neglected piece of work, Usefilm-wise. I love the colorful splashes. It looks like a cross between a photograph and a cheerful Jackson Pollock!
