Paul this one is really really good... the location is excellent and cleverly used as a background... industrial chic with mesmerizing eyes... think the cascade of hair is more apparent and well included in this pic... well done...

not as dramatic as the previous one due to more lighting and the almost complete lack of shadows... still the expression captured holds an inner playful spark... mischievious even... and thats what makes it an intriguing portrait... well done dear Jeanette....

i really like this close up portrait... symmetrically divided but not quite... the violin may be the protagonist in the pic but unconsiously the eye wonders over his face coming out of the black behind... the deep shadows add to its melangholic feel while accentuating the facial curves in combination to the violin's ones... very well done my friend... hugs...

yes i know... it was a reservation of my own but i had to choose between the hair and the eyes... the eyes won but it was refreshing working on a nice image of someone else... i was really glad when i saw the portrait that i couldn't restrain myself :P... cheers mate...

the uneven images sizes... the subtle strength of colors... the soft clarity of textures and the tight composition, all work towards an aesthetically pleasing result... a well deserved award Phil... my congrats... keep up the good work...

high contrast and b/w works really nice here my friend... like two swords having already fought their battles and still carry their bloody remains... all, in a quick memory flashback... beautiful abstract with unusual phobistic quality... congrats...

excellent abstract dear Jo... trully excellent... the pipe is too dark but it only serves to makes its contradiction with the wall even stronger while complimenting and add interest to the window above it... industrial monochromatic chic!!!! very well done...

intimate and confronting portrait... despite the difficulty of shooting black against black you manage to pull out the tones correctly... still what i like most is how the violin is semi apparent in your composition... it does indeed make it into the pic but still its presence is subtle... just like its music... makes the whole presentation more interesting along with his relaxed expression... congrats dear Jeanette... a well deserved recognition of your work...

As I said previously, it is the antithesis between the two images in all levels that gives to the end result a whole new meaning… to look at oneself in the mirror is a process we all subconsciously do everyday but how many of us really “look” at their reflection and think… actually think… we look and we see someone… it is always the same someone who is looking back to us… but who is this someone???? Do we actually know that person???? we think we do but sometimes we are not really sure… solid mirror image of ourselves just like the rock that lays within the flowers but blurry at the same time when we feel that we miss the real essence of it… still a constant in life that we try to understand and ultimately accept… the flowers grow, bloom and die but the rock remains even if it is blurry… just like our reflection…
Moving works on more than one level my friend… kept me thinking… you always had your way of doing this… and I simply enjoy it… kisses…

It took me quite a lot of time just looking at both your collages and contemplating about what to comment on… I was trying to concentrate on the pics but it wasn’t so simple… probably because while I kept looking at them the more sense they made (at least to me) and in other levels than just aesthetics… the stark contrast between the subjects and monochrome versus color combined, worked as a “shock” treatment firstly for the eyes and then the mind… her ethereal beauty so well and mysteriously caught from the low angle perspective along with the sunny leaves in the immediate foreground feels like we get a glimpse on her thoughts… she indeed looks back with longing of what is about to be left but she has kept her memories in her hands and she is ready to move forward… eminent skies surround her but they never looked so good and “natural”… life changes constantly and we must learn to keep the best out of it… like the flowers she is holding… romantically sad yet optimistic in a subtle way… a beautiful work my friend… my sincere admiration… Hugs…
