I like the idea, just not too sure on the effect that the oil painting treatement has given it. I think I'd like to see it without it, maybe in sepia. Dunno, just not too sure

....takes you back, doesn't it, this is a nicely executed image Tracey, I struggled with the two 'diagonals' of light at first but they probably do a good job bringing you back to the main subject....well done, cheers, david.

it works good even in the colours version, but his look work better in BW, she seems to be from other time: a little western girl.

Hello Mary I thank you for your comment I do appreciate it, the circle was actually the moon but when I did the vigetting it made it brighter I should have fixed this problem it was meant to look like it was flying at night.
I'm still learning hopefully I'll get there oneday, thanks regards Tracey..

Of the two, this one is certainly more dramatic and eye catching with a touch of class. The vingetting adds contrast to the colours and spotlighting to the bird in flight. I agree with Liz that the white circle poses a bit of a problem. If it is the Sun, it would have a less defined outline due to its brightness. If it is the Moon, it would be so much better with details showing as presenting this size, one would definately see details. That would look good. However, I'd suggest not a full Moon. As a full Moon rises at sunset and sets at sunrise, we don't see it this high in the sky when it is still bright enough to see that kind of detail in the bird.
