Beautiful, your images are so detailed and the colors are exquisite! You must have really sneaked up on this guy, was he looking at you or his next meal? I love seeing what you see through the lens!

It does look like an owl, doesn't it? Carolyn, there possibly aren't any owls this size. This bird is a falcon, specifically an American Kestrel (scientific name Falco sparverius) and there are at least two very young ones here in Isleta. They've been attacking the local lizards, eating them raw... Gab

Excellent bird portrait Gab. Terrific focus. He does indeed appear to trust you...although still a "little" leary. Birds don't have expressions, but you seem to have captured one here!

Great composition....great focus...i really like details visible on the wood...it gives this image such a weathered look....kind of like a view of old and new all in one....the colors are great, the different shades of green stand out so well....great eye on this one..... Excellent job

good morning my dear friend Gab.
welcome back
the first obvious thing here is the four grades of the green color,, i like it ,, i like that we can see things near to us such shiny and clear,, and things that far from us are hazy,, so i think if you are near to a friend you can know him,, and when he is far from you ( not only in a place )
i mean sometimes we are near and far even we are seating beside each other,, any way,,, well done shot 7+++++ all my best
