She seems to have emptied her mind to allow the viewers to project their own thoughts - like a human Rorschach ink-blot. A powerful image.

Hi Mary,
I don't see dark thoughts in this image.
I see a look of contentment and peacefulness. I see it around the lips and eyes. As if she is concentrating on music.
I like the texture of the multiple image (if that's what it is?) It seems as though there is a fence at the bottom of the image. Maybe she is dreaming of a favourite spot?
