LOL There are folks not far from here that would say "Fittee-sen".

Visitors to this country are probably thinking, "I didn't think the English Language had dialects...(as they throw their translation books in the dumpster)"

Hi Rick - Great Infrared! If you don't mind sharing, what F-Stop did and shutter speed did you shoot this at?

Thank you Mary! The dreamy feel is just one of the reasons why I love shooting infrared so much.

Thanks Emrah!

You can shhot infrared with the Canon dgital rebel or any other digital SLR. All you need is an Infrared Filter (I use the Hoya R72 Infrared Filter), a tripod and some time to get the hang of it.

Here is a link that got me started on workflow once you have the filter and images:

http://www.lifepixel.com/digital-infrared/instructions.html

Infrared Photography is fun and the filter only costs about $40 US.

Cheers!
Adam

Hi Miguel, If you buy a polarizing filter for your lens and then convert the image to black and white by adjusting the levels, you will get a very dark sky as well (and big puffy white clouds).

Shooting infrared REALLY brings it out tho, as David illustrates so very well in this image.

David - beautiful shot my friend.

Good grief man...this is one of the most gorgeous imaages I have ever seen - Incredible!

I just wish the rating scale went to 10, because the 7 just seems to be an understatement in this case.

CONGRATS Carsten!

Thanks Jim! I am a Lucky bastad indeed...

And thanks for posting all of the members names...I'll be checking them out.

One of my personal favorites here is Carsten Ranke - some of his stuff is so pretty it makes my eyes bleed.

Once again, GREAT sense of scale here. The schoolhouse dwarfed by the sorrounding landscape emparts a feeling of vastness.

You da man!

It's good that something that day had balance, because after that trip to the winery, I had very little.

You certainly have a way with words... "dropping bits in the back country"

That is just oozing with imagery...

Great shot - the fact that you used the lightning as the back drop to the trees, verses using it as the subject is a nice change from the usual lightining photo.

Love this shot, great timing!
