Great sunset reminds me a lot to the shot I posted yesterday. Funny first time I saw clouds like that and there you are today posting a shot with same color clouds.

Hi Barry, Thanks for your comments. I can't really say that I have experienced this. I find that in some areas Velvia wins hands down and others I prefer VS like on those overcast days. But the lack of fine grain in VS makes me want to always head for Velvia from now on. But you will obtain spectacular results with VS worth giving it a try. Just be careful that the longer the exposure the more grain will be visible in your shot.

Hi Buddy Thanks for your great comments. No maipulation was done in PS apart for the usual sharpening and level adjusting done after scanning my slide.

Beautiful Shot Bren. That is really the kind of shots I like to take. Only minor thing is all those flares. I haver experienced the same results far too many times. Still a very Beautiful shot

Well you know how I feel about this one Adam...Absolutely marvelous...and it's about time you switch from a low Grade Velvia to Agfa ;-)

Hi Tom.
I always walk around to try to find the right foregroud. I have learned to walk with my camera in my hands and leave my tripod somewhere until I find the best place and angle and only them will I set up my camera on my tripod. It is much easier and you will get more creative if you do it this way or else you always end up taking pictures in one of the first place you would setup your tripod. Thanks a lot for the great comment and hope this will help you a bit in your future photographic escapade

Great shot!! so much to look at..there is a possibility of at least 10 great shots within this one. I would love to see one with just the three front skaters.

A real unusual vision and angle. I would be nice to see it with either the people still or more blurred with a slower depth of field. Loks like you are right in the middle now. Great attempt

Beautiful shot Ugur. I really love the tones in this one. Really Moody. I would like to see maybe one stop more in the sky to open up those shadows a bit but then again maybe it will spoil the mood.
Great Work

Thank you all for your great comments. Doug to answer your question. In my opinion you cant compare slides to negatives. Specially because you control the output of your shot. Negatives, the colors are most of the time altered by the lab and often your shot come back with undesirable results. with slide, labs cannot alteredt the results what you shoot is what you get..But remember that slide dont forgive if your exposure is off yoiu will know right away.

Thanks for the Advice Roger but nothing come close to a well exposed slide. I would never go back to negative. The feeling I get when viewing a great slide will beat any great photo..It is just not the same.
