Hi Erland. A very compelling portrait indeed.
After seeing some of your very good work here on UF, I'm very happy to have received a comment on my photos from you.

Hi John. Nice shot here, windmills are a favourite of mine (never took a photo of one yet though) but they are intriguing machines.
I noticed this one has some grainy look to it, fine if thats what you want, but I ran it through neat image software and removed that grain. You can really notice the difference.

Hi John. Good, thanks for that info on the filters. I bought a Cokin ND grad filter last month but have yet to use it. I will definitely try experimenting with these filters next time i'm out shooting photos. I'm definitely not experienced with filters, other than cric polarizers.
take care ~ james

Hi John, long time no see.
Nice shot of this castle. All I can say is I would have removed that antenna at the top of it. The scene is definitely very beautiful, water colour in particular.
Hope you're well ~ James

A lovely model. Maybe a little adjustment in brightness / contrast, I think would enhance it a little more.
Well done ~ James

Hi Andy. Its a very good photo. I know how difficult it is to get the pandas in a position to make a good photo (they're quite lazy and don't stay out very long during the day, and the place can be crowded). I had to go to the panda reserve twice before i actually got anything decent.
Nicely done.

Not sure if its on the glass you were shooting through or on your sensor, but the spots on the photo are a bit distracting. Maybe the sensor on your camera needs a cleaning.
I think the photo is not bad, but i think your timing was off a little bit, shoot when the sun isnt in front of you and i think the results could be a lot better.
Best wishes ~ james

Fall comes early up there, lovely colour.
Can you provide a link to a map to show exactly where you are or where you're driving (hard to find a good map online it seems)? You cant drive all the way to Inuvik, can you?

hi peter... i see that you have many interesting photos in this portfolio of yours.
this one in particular sticks out. the colour is quite vibrant, and even though i cant tell what it is (my guess is a stack of beach chairs but hard to say) i find it intriguing.
well done ~ james

the construction of that building (hotel i think) suggests you were up the mountain around da zhai or ping'an... lovely places. i just left the longsheng area, my fourth and not my last visit to that region. back again in october to catch the fall colours.

what is that beside the top of the CN tower though?
