Ken,
The distant hill is about an hour away by ferry. Your point about logging is taken, but look at the size of those logs. We have about the same amount of forest now that we did 100 years ago, but have a problem with monoculture. The pine beetles are causing a real problem.
Right now, American protectionism is keeping logging down. The fellow on the logs may be losing his job soon.

While the shot isn't sharp, it's well composed and has a very interesting emotional tone to it. (S)he kinda looks irritated! I'd be happy to have a shot like this in my own portfolio.
