Hi dear Shirley,

Thanks, dear friend. A "double" comment. I think you remembered my first published photo and the about, the strong essent these bugs spread. In this case, definitly... love is (double) in the air.

Hi dear Petal,

Thanks for your lovely comment. I am grateful for the fact that an analist is counting the bugs (lol). Must admit / admire, that you have good eyes ! And I agree, let's no longer bugging them in their game.

Wish you and yours a great weekend,

Hi Adrian,

Excellent portrait !

I like the combination of expression of his face, your POV and the shuttertime you used to get the movement in his hands. The tones, texture and colours are also a splendid choice. All this together brings this great shot. You did a wonderful job here ! Compliments !

Hi dear Mary,

Thanks, I hope you could move your head back in the right position afterwards (lol). These birds are great to shoot and it can be done from a rather short distance. I think this was some 3 till 5 meter.

Hi Sascha,

To give you an idea of the 500 mm with tripod, I added an older shot of a small serie of this bird.
It are 3 shots: landing, taking off and flying.
For this shot I put the camera at free move horizontal and vertical and released the shutter by hand. As you can see this brings to poor quality.

Hi Narabia,

Perfect shot ! I like the composition and specially the colours in this view. The white horse in darker colours brings a beautiful atmosphere and contrast in this view. The connection of the warm coloured gras between horse and the darker background is very good.
You did a great shot with this marvelous image.
Compliments (7+++) !

Hi Narabia,

Wonderful shot of the dandelion. A tribute to this great flower that knows so many beautiful transformations. Well seen and excellent result.
Compliments !

Btw, did you know that parts of this plan can also used for salades ? Besides that, it is a plant of which many parts can be prepared and used for medical treatment.

Hi Mike,

I wanted the seed in that corner. Maybe it's indeed a bit to far to the edge, as I see now.
A lesson for next shots, to keep a little more distance from the corners. Thanks for your advice, I really appreciate it !

Hi Sarel,

Wonderful view !
I like these beautiful earth colours. The composition is very nice. Like your choice of the calm water in front and the coming wave at the end. Good moment.
I think the view can be improved a bit by leveling the horizon line (minor detail).
Nevertheless I like this beautiful view. Good idea and well done !

Hi dear Sascha,

Thanks, your're right this was no easy catch. It took me quite some shots, but finally I managed more or less. To get a moving subject sharp when it moves towards you is indeed quit difficult. So I'll exercise this again next time, because I want to get control of this. These fast moving birds are a great challenge for this.
I have used the 18-200 mm for these shots. I also have a Sigma 50-500 mm. The last one is a great objective for tripod use but not for action shots (to heavy).
So I am thinking to change this 50-500 mm (that I don't use much) to realise something light of about 400 mm suitable for action shots. Maybe the 200 mm with a good converter ? I am still puzzling on it.

Friendly greetz,
Albert Jacobs

Hi dear Elisa,

Thank you. The human perception can easily be misguided. We want to see what we like, even if it's not real. I experienced a while and found out that shooting "dancing like ballerinas" as reality is very difficult.
But I wanted to shoot this effect, so I experimented a bit further and found an alternative approach, to create the suggestion of "dancing".
How I did this is explained by the other more or less similar shot. The most difficult part was creating the depth.

Albert Jacobs

Hi Giuseppe,

Fabulous shot ! I like your highkey approach, specially the lightfall through the blossom.
This enlarges the fragility in this beautiful view. Your composition is also very nice chosen.
Well done, my friend !
