I shot this in Sequoia national park.
An old dead sequoia ... the roots ...
You may find your story in it, by looking from various distances.
Enjoy, alpha

Thanks Annemette. Glad that you liked it.
Yes, you are right, there is space for improvements: one is to make the diagonal stronger, by cropping out the Left upper corner. What you suggested :) I did not think about it, but definitely I will take into consideration. The point is that this particular picture depends on the monitor you are looking at. I tested it on 3 monitor: 1900, 1200, 1024. Man, it looks very different. Now, how is it gonna look on print I have no clue :) need to print it 8x10, since that's the bottom line, and that's what I am going to sell ;) (one day).

thanks for stopping by, and thanks for the great input. Alpha.

Excellent composition making the man look like another pole in the row due to his position. Interesting patterns. I would personally clone the road on the right all the way down leaving out the flowers making the composition even stronger.
Best wishes
Annemette

This picture i took in Moldova, near to small village Kurki.

What you see on the picture is gonna be a monastery, during the soviets used to be a psychiatric clinic ...

Death Valley has many beautiful vista's and in these dunes it is often hard to avoid another photographer in the shot. There is a good location, though not that I'd post directions to here. Your angle to the dunes draws you into the photo nicely. Congrats on the POD!

Nice to see this on the front page. I think the composition is actually very sophisticated. The line of the the dune leads you to the photographer. Then you look off to the right to see what he is shooting. Don't agree with Rajib - can't see that this would work without the sky!

yes, kind of. It was in Death valley. Not that in the middle of nowhere, but enough wild I would say. The hot and dry temp almost killed me during 2 days.
