Danny,

They only have to defend against China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Burma etc... They do have a sizeable army. And nukes.

Yes they do love to be photographed. I found I had to be very quick otherwise the whole village would want to be in the shot.
good pleasant pic with good dof.

Angelo. i believe that is about the strength of the Indian army. I am sure I read that they only play a defensive roll. I wish one or two other countries would adopt that attitude.

I'm just trying to read his face, nothing more. And for me, there are signs of resignation in his eyes.

I'm not sure I get your angle on the "desperate/accepting" look, Thilo. I don't know what he would complain about. He has a business and can provide for his family.

To me he looks curious, as in "why the heck would that weirdo foreigner want to photograph me"?

Hi Angelo,

I like the mood in this one. The kind of desperate look (hmmh, maybe not desperate, but it seems he has accepted his fate and doesn't complain anymore). the antique tools, the colorful back...

good one!

best wishes,
Thilo

Hi Angelo,

a sign of life from you is always good. You're very calm these days.

I like the naturalistic appearance of this shot. A glimpse into another worlds for me.

Hope to hear more from ya.

best wishes,
Thilo

Angelo. Welcome back we have missed you.I don't mind the softness on this image.Someimes I think we are obsessed with sharpness.I love this little study and it fitsin well with your last few posts and your recent visit to India.

I like the mood too - I like the way the girl staring at the camera is the one out of focus and the man not looking at the camera is - it works well.
Nice to see you back!

It?s a great shot Angelo, nice long DOF and strong colors with good contrast, I would only move the main subject a bit off the centre- but it?s only my thought; well done; best regards, Pawel

vegetation in the foreground looks little overexposed, or oversaturated
but how did you got sky to look like this? beautiful!

The white background makes the main subject stands out. And obviously the compositon is perfect! The red tomatoes, the green branches, and the shadow really pleasing to me. The two empty branches on the right also suggest that two tomatoes are missing, making the actual number of tomatoes to 5 tomatoes. 3 & 5, such magic numbers. To wrap up, a very interesting image to me...

Regards.

It amazes me how people can carry such a large load--and in those sandals. I'd be tripping for sure. I wonder if they end up with back problems as they grow older. Great street shot.

Grand everyday real life shot. They have great smiles. I'm sure that makes people feel invited to come to them to buy their tea.
