I agree with the others on the lighting and tones. And, the cropping that Tanya suggest makes a much better presentation of Carlos. Doctor, if that's you with the guitar then you're a man of many talents.

I love this! It's going into my favorites. The thumbnail immediately caught my attention and I'm so glad I chose to view it. I'd have to say that Tanya's changes made a difference, changed the feel of the picture from something friendly to something more dramatic, which your choice of lighting accentuates. I like the feel of both compositions. Great eye, and good work  ) Thanks for sharing!

very nice. love the light and tones. i would crop it a bit differently though. I did a few things in ps. cropped, fixed the tilt, adjusted the levels a bit, and sharpened. It gives it a completely different feel... I only do this to images that i really like, i hope you don't mind.... beautiful image.
