Lovely landing spot for this equally pretty butterfly. I like the stem disappearing into the dark green background. Was this made with a macro lens?

Hi Kathy, Nice to see you on the front page. Love the earthy colors and peaceful atmosphere. Thank you for the kind words on mine.

Ooo that's a little too early, Roger. But better now than later; you don't want to be stuck with it. The sensor in my pocket digital went out after only 2 years of use. I'm out of warranty and out of luck. Everything I own is made by Canon. The dslr is holding up so far, knock on wood. I'm going to say maybe Nikons are better made but then you'll remember what happened to Pastor Spracklen with his Nikon.

Magical scenery. Does the town have a name? The early morning (or sunset) lighting is wonderful.

I'm rubbing my eyes to make sure I'm seeing this right. A dslr?... Roger, we have finally corrupted you.

A delightful triptych, this particular one takes the prize for its perspective.

They look like spring blossoms Markus. Maybe a relative of rosa rugaso which is supposed to be cold hardy. Back-lighting looks good so does the garden.

Hey I know this place. Hi Milan, I like the toning and how you caught the waves in retreat. There might be a slight tilt. If you are using photoshop i have a quick fix for that using the measure tool.

Hi Ben, Very strong composition with the top of bridge near the rule of thirds point and balanced with the steel beams on the left. Good clarity under low light. This bridge design must be popular, I've been on a similar one in Tampa.

Hi Ben, In shots I took moments before this, the light was brighter and I had more burnout in the sky. This is Santa Monica Pier which compared to Navy Pier is a little old and dingy but an important landmark and tourist attraction. Thank you for the kind comment.

Markus, You are getting artistic. The tree frame is so perfect for this scene. It balances the statue.

Beautiful vineyard in rolling hills. The vineyard we were at last year around this time was flat as a pancake and very boring.

You have a good eye Omnia. Very creative way to frame this image. I also love the shades of pink they used for painting.

Oh my look at how she put this together. Petal, your sense of composition is top notch, the very best. This is no idle compliment. I mean it. :-) This image is like a painting.

Markus, this picture with the grass stalks and delicate bluebell made me think of embroidery. Very pretty background. Did the little blue "veronicas" come out yet?

A real life geode? Very interesting place Omnia. If we are looking out at the horizon (Not sure since you mentioned a mountain), I'd try leveling it. Thank you for your kind words on mine.

Hi Aliihsan, Neat gadget the geomag. I like the composition and the focus. I don't know if your background was actually tangerine but if not you might have a tungsten cast. This might be a curse with Canons. The images taken at night tend to come out warm. It helps a little if you set your white balance to the "light bulb" or tungsten. Thank you for your comment on mine.
