Looks like somethting from another planet! Very beautiful, Giulio! The reflection on the bottom of the frame really make this one.... well, and the colors, of course!

Excellent, Peta! Very well done, technically. I agree with Phillip about the open space at the top of the photo. I believe your friend could easily fill this frame with no complaints from us ;)

Wow! Well done... both the photo and the makeup!

What were you exactly, a warewolf?

The light is a little harsher in this one, but it is still nice and definitely not over exposed. I do prefer the softer light, though.

Looks as though you have been doing a lot of studio work! Have you been getting a lot of jobs, or what?? Are you working in a studio or have you converted a room in your home? Sorry... I'm nosey!! LOL

Beautiful portrait! I like the simplicit of the photo.

Did she spin her head around for this one? I notice that bit of hair in the back seems to be in motion and maybe there was a strand across her face that you removed.

She is a pretty girl and the lighting is really nice. Very soft and under-stated.

Clever idea! Does the paint represent anything personality-wise... or was it just a fun idea?

I really like it! Reminds me a little of Goldie Hawn from Laugh In! LOL

This looks a little processed, but I definitely think the mood and emotiveness sort of override that! Great moment, Rachel!

Thanks, Rachel! I didn't do anything in PS to enhance this! It was crazy! Which is why I grabbed my camera, hopped in my car and went to take some photos! I am not even good with this landscape type of stuff, but I couldn't pass it up!

Oh, and aside from all the I mentioned previously.... this is also very well done, technically! Great focus, DOF, bokeh and exposure!

Wow! What an amazing portrait! I cannot believe this photo has not recieved more attention!

First of all, the colors are gorgeous and are very fitting for the season. Everything from the leaves in the background, that fill the frame so nicely, to the tone of her skin and the color of her sweater all harmonize so well!

I love the perspective, it definitely makes this an interesting and creative portrait. I also think that this perspective gives the photo that "larger-than-life" feel that you describe because you are looking up to her rather than directly at her, head on, or down on her.

Then there is her face. A face of wisdom and character. So much to be seen in her expression, her eyes and in every well earned line and wrinkle on her face.

Really excellent, Luke! I love unique and interesting portraits, and this is definitely one of them!

This is beautiful. It is very simple, but very effectively composed. I love the blue tone to the entire photo. Definitely peacful and tranquil! Very nicely done, Robert!

Ooooh, Guilio!! You are too, too kind! I'm not quite sure I've mastered this 30D yet.... but I am definitely learning!

Thank you so much! I did do his makeup for this!

I haven't been online much to comment, but I notice you have been taking some magnificent landscapes! Really gorgeous! Do you live near these places or have you been going on photo adventures to capture this beautiful scenery?

This is a very interesting series, Don. Almost abstract... well, quite abstract.

I don't know why usefilm is so slow lately. I've never seen it this slow. Hopefully things will pick up soon!

You know what, I considered doing a square crop on this to remove the empty space, but then didn't... dunno why really! LOL

I have a question I've been meaning to ask you, so I will shoot you an email shortyly! Thanks for the feedback :)

This is actually my son, but he is so pretty he gets mistaken for a girl a lot! LOL

His eyes are very intense and striking, but when I add any layers for softening or for the moonlight filter I use the eraser tool to keep the eyes clear. The moonlight filter tends to darken the photo causing the eyes to stand out more.

Phil, this is really beatuiful! Such a soft, warm feel with a beautiful model! Almost like a painting. Is that smoke or fog I see, or is it part of the background?

Thank you very much, I appreciate you taking the time out to explain these things to me.

As for the pull down menu here on usefilm, it does not give the option to put in the exact settings used, it skips certain shutter speeds and f/stop numbers.... not sure why! LOL

Thanks for the tips and advice.

Yes, I had the autofocus on because the light was not GREAT, but I hate to use the flash... the kids were being wild and not wanting to stay still... but I do need to work more on fully manual.

Funny you should mention it because I JUST ordered that lens per a friend's suggestion! It should be arriving anytime!

Thanks!
