what a great capture. REally fun, a pity her elbow has been cut off but it does not effect the overall effect.

Good suggestion,I was shooting for an international news site. I played around and did a couple of angles.

I personally prefered the DOF as it is, but clearly understand why a higher F number would have brought the queue in sharper focus.

I was the only 'tog' (freelance or otherwise) at the newspaper to shoot this angle.

Thank you guys, I was taught at school way back when that you judge a boxer by his legs and feetwork. So I tried to find an angle that generally is not used to tell the story.

Lighting at these events is always difficult.

I shot this at the Mdantsane taxi rank ,early on Saturday morning.

Mdantsane is the second or was) african township in SA.
I am doing (slowly) building up a series of faces for an exhibition I want to hold.

Who says you need a 2.8 when you look at these 3.5 images.
I have the equivalent Nikon lens annd it's totally useful and a solid lens too boot.
