Hello my friend, I have not spoken with you all winter and have missed seeing you photos. I see that the cherry blossoms are blooming there as they are here also in Washington DC. BTW - I read your profile and was surprised at our connections. I grew up in Catonsville (still get over there at least once a month to hang with friends) and currently work IT in the federal goverment too. It really is a small world. All the best to you.

Hi Maryanne, yes I was very aware that the pictures were looking away from the lane and of the whiteness of the sky to the right. I found the pictures to convey a spiritual feeling from my time there this weekend. Thanks so much for seeing that also.

Maryanne, it is funny you mention the sky in this image as I cropped the bottom of the hillside out quite a bit and purposely left the expanse of blue sky in the shot with the thought of the heavens in the back of my mind.

Maryanne, thanks so much for the very kind words on this series. I have just started shooting in RAW/NEF format and doing my post work in Adobe Lightroom. I think that may be the difference in the colors/exposure of the photos posted from Antietam. All the best to you!
