Nice one Angelo. It has an air of mystery- where does it go, Is it going to colapse, Is this my path to stardom?-Alas we will never know these answers.

Hello Angelo I think this one could be cropped somewhatto give the snail a wee bit more prominance.

Hi Angelo, The strong points in this photo are (in random order) the imaginary diagonal composition of the trees, crossing the converging lines of the path, and even stronger countered by the slanted hill. The damp atmosphere is well portrayed by the dark tones in the foliage and the trunks, but compared to the previous image of the same subject, I feel this images lacks the element of depth. yet I think I prefer this one, as the abstract / compositional component in it is stronger. A very different photo - feel-wise. Nice work.

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Angelo, there's more to this shot than meets the eye looking at the thumbnail. The presence of the snail was a nice surprise opening the photo, as it does add a needed point of interest. I can't help wondering if a different appproach to the subject could've created a bit more "punch" in this photo.

Perhaps a lower camera position, a shallow DOF? Not easy with a medium wide angle, but still. Another alternative that crossed my mind is to crop it square, but then again, I'm not fully aware of your intention with this photo. The top side does seem to fade away a bit in the overview; if you knowwhat I mean.

Cheers,

Hugo

The exposure is perfect! Beyond that, the sharp decline of the path makes me strongly wonder where it goes...I want to travel that path.
Thanks for sharing this, Angelo. It's beautiful.

Hi Angelo!

Good to see that you're still posting, and I hope all is well.

Very moody image, with the proper ingredients: a bit of haze, a earthy path cornering towards the edge, a lone hiker and wet, sulky trees to create the story. The thing that makes this image tick for me is the level of details in the path; the striking light works miracles. In retrospect with the atmosphere I perceive (mind you: this is not necessarily what you had in mind, but we've been there before) I find the tone of the grass a bit crisp. Although there's something to say about converting this photo to black and white (or even to sepia / duotone), I like it that you left it in colour. Good stuff; a photo that makes me think again!

Cheers,

Hugo

Hi Angelo, I like this shot. There is this feeling of desolation about it. I like the bleak white of the fog framed by the lush green of the vegetation. Sort of symbolic of the increasingly bleak future that the natural world seems to face in our times. By the way, hope you had fun in Darjeeling.

No, it is not too bright, actually it is as it should be considering the brightness, but imho it is too yellow. Take a look on the attached picture to understand what I mean - I have overdone the effect, so you can see it clearly, I wouldn't remove the yellow cast that much, because I like it, I would make it only a bit less saturated.

Hi Vojtech. Thanks for your comment.

There is no saturation in the top part because of the very low cloud covering the top of the mountain. Do you mean that you think it is too bright?

Regards,
Angelo.

Hi Angelo,

although I have just a thumbnail view, I like this one a lot with the great tonal range, the depth created by the perspective and the wide angle look. The dramatic sky adds to the scene.

best wishes,
Thilo

A opção pelo PBdeu uniformidade. Os elementos humanos deram interesse a foto. Um trabalho muito bom, como de costume.

Hi Angelo,

the perspective makes the image IMHO. The harmony between the fly and the leaf in the diagonal direction is great. I also like the strong seperation between the two subjects via the DOF.

best wishes,
Thilo

Hi Angelo,

very fitting title ;-) The street shot is very original and natural. Good usage of DOF to separate these guys from the background.

Good to see some fresh stuff from you!

best wishes,
Thilo
