This is beautiful Peta.
I love the composition and his expression, and light and colors are stunning.
Very well done.

Peta, one more observation. I would probably have tried to illustrate her poems by defaulting to the use of iconic symbols. You don't [except for one well placed and scaled small one] and that's another reason I think this image is so successful.

Why am I not surprised to find you illustrating a poem by the Celtic mystic Jessica Powers.

This is wonderfully done on all levels! For example, on the surface you perfectly capture the ?iridescent trees of light? of the poem?s ?landscape,? while at the same time plumbing its depths with the solitary figure of a dislocated spiritual journeyist [my word] wandering through this image of a brittle and arid earthly world. I can?t imagine a better visual expression of this poem!

You are a one woman mystic revival movement!

However!.............As I believe technical critiques are the order of the day at UF I suggest moving the moon to either the right or left by .99 millimeters.....for no particular reason.

Thanks Sonia. My arm! I continue on, right now I'm sitting with menthol rub stuff on it as I gardened today. Found a bird nest with babies so it was worth it.

Thank you Emgy!
I agree about the camera, really feel like I'm using film again. Isn't the absence of noise fantastic! Even at high ISO's there seems little.

I am a little at a loss for words on a picture like this. It does convey quite a dark mood and I th ink that is what was intended. I am going to say that I like it b ut not sure why...... Don.

What an unreal, poetic mood you achieve in here, dear Peta.
So liric, so beautiful.
A creation of a brilliant mind and a sensible woman.
Perfect in any aspects.
Hugs,
Marília

"The Ice Storm" is one of my favorite movies. This is a wonderful image. Moody and evocative and quite ethereal. It is so wonderful to see something new from you, and I am so happy to see that it is quite stellar. Brava!

Save for the 'About', this viewer would have taken the title at face (fridgit) value... it is clear that there is effective PS work... with very complimentary JP poetry... COMPLIMENTOS!

Ice Storm

The language of the heart would desecrate,
The chastity of this moon-blinded night,
these iridescent trees of ice, these great,
ascetic areas of silver light

that have been fields before the winter rain
froze on the snow to magnify the moon.
The trees and vines tinkle a thin refrain
like a glass windbell's tune.

Let those who go abroad be solitary,
stifle the heart and see how this unknown
and brittle world, unreal and legendary,
was filmed in crystal for the mind alone.

Antonella, great to see you too. I reinjured an old arm injury a few months ago and having to take it slow on the computer etc. Very frustrating as you can imagine.
Hope to return after my trip home to NZ at the beginning of June.

Hi Bendetto, thank you, that is so kind and I can say the same about you. I'm doing better but can't spend as much time as I need in PS creating. Hope to return soon.
