Yeah, i like it too. It's a shame about the blur however the crop and the framing is just PERFECT!

Beautiful. Love the colours and the fixedness of the rocks in that forever moving water. The movement of the ocean just keeps pulling me back into the frame!

Great timing and a nice exposure. Lovely warm colours and look, the bird even jumped into the frame for you! I think that this would be perfect in square format, removing all of that empty space on the right.

Great capture. I'd love to see slightly more contrast but other than that this is lovely!

In my honest opinion the graduating desaturation doesn't do this image any justice whatsoever. Upon first impression the backdrop looked like a sun-faded round table cloth. Sorry.

I would include slightly more sky in the frame along with a much less saturated (or painted) image. For me, the scene is rather pleasing, what with the motion in the waves and the setting sun but you've spoiled it with the over-cooked look of colour.

John, this is awesome! Great framing, I bet this would look just as good in B+W. I hope you have this on your wall!

Hey Kaeleigh, Great moment captured, nice framing and looks good with silhouettes. My only crit is that you need to pick up the exposure and then contrast because the overall shot to me looks under-exposed by a stop and a half.
Thanks!

OK well I already commented on this image but it seems to have been removed. Here goes again....

I think that the selective desaturation doesn't work here. The blue is too intense (over-saturated) and doesn't work with the subtle B+W tones everywhere else. I'd love to see this image in just B+W with a little curve adjustment because it has so much potential in my eyes without having to do what you have done here.

Great portrait, nice light (can't tell if you used fill or not although it looks like your model is facing the sun). If I were to be very picky I'd clone out the white post in the far background too, it's slightly distracting.

I hope that you don't take these comments as pure criticism, these are my first reactions when seeing the image.

The different coloured tones, for me, don't work. I'd love to see this in simple B+W because it's such a wide contrasting shot. Good work, even better if you submit one in B+W Priscilla!

Beautiful, Mark! I now live in Australia (migrated almost a year ago to marry my Aussy wife) and you know what? I miss this scene so very much - having lived beside an old English wood for all of my 28 years of life, the blue bells are always a refreshing part of May.

Thanks for posting, it's made me both sad, nostalgic and happy. Weird feelings!

I love your work and I love this shot. Great idea Kaveh, keep them coming!

One thing, I would be very interested, and I'm guessing many others are with me here, on learning the techniques required in producing such an image (aside from the obvious silhouette shot). Would you be prepared to elaborate a little on future shots like these?

Thanks!
