Sint Maarten- het origineel van de populaire Halloween viering 2 weken geleden. Maar het komt op hetzelde neer: kinderen langs de deuren om snoep, geld etc in te zamelen.

Nog iets anders:

Amiens is not far away from Compiègne, two towns in Northern France. In Compiègne something happened that today whole France has a bank holiday : Armistice.
Sint Maarten celebrated today in The Netherlands, Armistice today celebrated in France and ....
apparently the two different celebrations have no similarities or a a common origine but have something geographically in common.

"While Martin was still a soldier at Amiens he experienced the vision that became the most-repeated story about his life"

The armistice between the Allies and Germany was signed in a railway carriage in Compiègne Forest on 11 November 1918, and marked the end of fighting in the First World War on the Western Front.

Oh what a nice compliment to me dear Mojgan. I nearly get shy and changing my face from winter pale white to emotional red. I usually have some control on color composition except for the palette of my own appearance,
hugs and kisses,

Thanks you so much for your kind comment dear Marian,
it ads some color to my day, that color that had no need to be removed from my picture.

Paul

Very good B&W portrait. Model and composition are pleasing.
I had slightly cropped somewhat more at the right hand side, just at the edge of the hat as in similar way already happened at the top side.
Model expression is natural, B&W tones are excellent,
best regards,
Paul

Excellent exposure with so many details in the whites,
and a love expression with roses can tell so much in all its details I can read from your image over here.
good work Nanda 7/7

Thank you very much Stan. Every picture has a story but that story is not always told with the idea that the spectator can also read it or make its own.
best wishes,
Paul

Thank you Maja,
Sometimes painting and photography do not really differ very much. From all hundred stories only one is true. Thanks for sharing,

The energy was there ! Thanks to your about I understand why this pic radiates so much happiness. Radiation in a wide angle, in a perfect composition as added by the photographer.
It is a perfect demonstration that those who can observe with the heart can create and transmit this message so very well,
my congratulations,
Paul

Excellent as many of your work Turi. I wished I could spend more time on each, but this still is so special in its composition, lighting and expression of my own imagined story,

Excellent photograph Marian. I think it is impressive to see the coloured sky shows up as a B&W reflection in a flat building. I also like this POV and balanced total composition.

Thank you for your love the way I think.
I just think about the way you love :-)
Let´s also look at the speed of the nearest galaxy Andromeda that is approaching our Milky Way with a speed of 130 km/s and then next enjoy the pace of a turtle and relax. We still have all time of the world before things go really wrong :-)
slow hugs, Paul
