Hi Adam,

I have found film to be tricky buisness. Slide film is best all around. For portraits of people..I think Kodak Portra VC160 or NC160 to be an excellent choice of film.

I have had a really hard time with slide film. My pictures always come back with such a blue tint..it's awful. I don't know how to improve on this problem as I think it's the company I have develop my film?

I know you will be happy with slide film on all your projects for the grain is so much finer than print film. Believe the professionals when they say slide film is less forgiving in lighting exposures and such but once you figure out your camera and how it exposes and how your surrounding lighting is you will be quite satisfied. If you are new to photography you may be like me and throw 1000's of pictures away in the beginning due to the lack of knowledge in lighting and such. You can read magazines and books and Usefilm members have excellent advice as to how to get wonderful pictures...but you will never learn as much as you will with hands on experience. You may be quicker than I have been but I have defintely had fun and learned alot. I'm now getting more and more pictures that I consider keepalbe than I was a year and a half ago At least 15-20 out of 36 rather than 1-5 our of 36

You have fun. Don't get to frustrated. There is alot to learn and you will learn the more you practice. Just laff at yourself when you get less than perfect pictures and know that your next roll of film will produce even better pictures than the last one

The trash can does not bother me. It seems to be a part of the surroundingsThe picture would be nice without it too

I just wish the lighting were different. Like maybe shining onto the interesting 'I think it's a building of some sort? in the background?

I would think with a car as beautiful as this the abandoners would not be too far away? I would be wondering if someone was having an 'afternoon' romantic picnic somewhere nearby. Great job with the PS! Love the colors and compositon.

Uhhhh..I agree with Koen. A bit scary..'punishment' comes to my mind. Well really alot of 'stories' come to my mind. Love the shadow on the wall.

I think your image expresses exactly what you had intended this image to be in your 'about'. Very very very lonely..depressed...agony...isolated..left alone...painful...imprisoned...scary too! Nice lighting and contrast.

Wow! What a feeling of being alone in such a beautiful place. Kinda scary to me tho...I'm a bit afraid of heights such as this. Nice colors and the light was working just right for you Or you saw the light just as it should be to make this image what it is.

I like the idea of this photo. I think a nice slide film would have made the colors a little more vivid. I also may have not centered the person in the middle of the bench..but then that may take away from what you were trying to say with your picture?

I love this picture. The composition is wonderful. The contrast is excellent. Sharp focus. The guy seems to be alone but at my age I'm thinking he may be enjoying himself immensely. I likd the wording on the wall tho. I would stop to say hi

I agree with Sarah. The colors are awesome. I would love to be alone doing the same thing this little guy is doing.
On the constructive side of the picture I would say it may be tilted by about .25% to the left of the picture?

Hi Adam. This little guy is a cutie. I'd join him I'm just wondering about the lens you used. I'm having a problem with the wider angle lens trying to get people or landscapes that are more than a few feet away in focus. This is a wonderful idea for the project. It does seem a bit soft..scan maybe?

I see that I needee a reflector for this image..traveling did not think to bring one with me. I have tried to improve upon this one in PS. The flower has one torn petal that I did not notice at the time of taking the picture

Wonderful imagination in the works here. I would probably have used an f/22 to get a sharper picture throughout. Lighing is great tho.

Wonderful capture. I could have been doing this very same thing,,,,kicking a ball without shoes about 40 years ago. Couldn't even go to the mailbox barefoot now without going ouch a few times. Love the idea of children playing together in a not so great environment but they seem happy nontheless.
