Nice B&W conversion. I like the fact that the we do not see the whole of the 2 ladies and so they are only part of the subject, the heads and hats being the other. I like it.

A great portrait and B&W conversion. Dreamy and romantic. It asks the question "Who is she waiting for?"

Good composition although I think it may look good as a square of the top part. I like the fact that one of the lights is off and it makes me wonder why. (Probably just a blown bulb!!)

Good colours and shape. Nice composition. Relaxing to look at which is unusual considering all the straight edges and angles.

Be well and happy Avi.

This is a different subject to me compared to the previous upload.

This to me is more about the texture of the dune and the way the light is falling on it, creating shadows that bring that texture out. By concentrating on the dune, and not including the sky (which would place it) I can enjoy the play of light more.

I think the previous upload is more about shape. The dune is placed as a landscape because of the inclusion of other dunes and a middle/far distance/horizon. The dunes in that photo have nice shapes and the image is great, but I prefer this one.

Good detail and the choice of dof to give a non distracting background is great. I've never been to place like this nor tried to photo these splendid animals but can appreciate how difficult it is. I think its a shame about the blades of grass across the cats face, but I think this is probably unavoidable.

All the best.

Location is good,as is detail and colour. However, this doesn't work for me.

The models feet look slightly weird to me (maybe putting them slightly side on to allow a change in shape from the leg - as in the reflection) and whilst the model pose is ok the reflected view looks very strange and uncomfortable. I don't like the hair accessory but that is a nit pick.

On the plus the technicalities are spot on, and the lighting perfect. Just my opinion.

My best wishes.

Paul

This really works for me. So posed but looking so natural at the same time. Great B&W conversion.

Be well.

Nice detail and composition. Yes a humourous touch but also very sad (considering where this was taken). The tones here are very melancholic. A fine, fine piece Carl.

Be well.

Beautiful and very appropriate title. One of my favourite words!!! (That's the science teacher in me!).

One day I will do this. Good company and time to enjoy the sunshine, and watch.

Again camera does not matter. Your post processing has created an analogue mood. This could be my Oly Trip and HP5.

Atheist, agnostic, believer; it matters not. The image clearly provokes deep personal opinions in the viewer. That, my good friend, is a good thing. Good photography does that. And this is good photography. Peace to all.

Good minimalism. The use of the white space and the unusual composition make an interesting image.

Thanks Soumya.

I did experiment with the dof trying to get it perfect. I took 3 photos overall, the first with maximum dof (differential focusing to get foreground and background clear) the second to get the post in focus but the cross out of focus but easily determined, and this one with minimal focus.

Many thanks.

I am surprised at the lack of comments as in my opinion this is a superb composition. The slightly off angle works really well and the placing of the subjects is great. Maybe the colours on the horse are a little too vibrant and it looks slightly oversharpened but this is a stunning piece that deserves to be seen.

I think separating the second and third lamps would be an improvement, but that said I understand that sometimes these things are not possible. I love the composition as a whole, and the black areas between the lamps makes for a very intimate and atmospheric image. As Harry says, it is the photographer and not the equipment, even though the GX100 looks to be a cracking compact. I hope the meal was good.

I like the idea and this has very nice soft lighting is beautiful. The background is bothering me but not sure how. I agree with your choice of simple pale background with some texture but I think the crinkles may be too large and prominent as my eyeskeep getting drawn to the arrowhead creases top left.

All the best.
