Lovely.

Simple minimal composition handled really well. The rich colours on the crisp white looks good.

Good use of negative space, his whole snow covered, cold world in front of him, but I'll bet he still knows how to have fun.

enlarge to see the real picture, so it looks too sharp.

after several years in LA, finally I got to Chicago, and finally I see real color fall. It is a moment.

thanks. yes, the dramatism is due to HDR I used. Usually I am very skeptic about HDR, especially those fake color everywhere, but turned out to work fine for in BW.

thanks for stopping by, Domenico

1771 PRE-SETTLEMENT ENCAMPMENT, Beckman Mill Park, Southern Wisconsin. www.beckmanmill.org

3 days event, dedicated to the History of 18 century. Voluntaries, passioned by what the life was about in 18 century, collect artifacts, the methods of producing the goods, the life style of the 18th century etc. Everything looks like at that time, being well-documented. Either the objects are collected, or made by the voluntaries using the old technologies.

Thanks Jo for stopping by.
You have a problem with balance, because it is a square format, I guess. It is a different ratio than 2:3, and it is really hard to make it perfect. I tried many different crops, and my eyes saw this as the best. The square here works for me, given the static nature of this picture.
