Thank you for the correction and for the pat on the head, Mr. Loy (my credentials are not as impressive as yours!) A shame (but appropriately?) my post was disallowed. Have a lovely day!

Thanks for the feedback. Not much of a coffee smeller as I do so like my sleep. I would appreciate a Mr. Loy next time, not the lower case mr. Loy. Other than that you did well. My children also say, "You're welcome."

Without coming into the discussion, it certainly is a good journalistic photo. Would have even been better with wide angle and coming closer, so the face and expression of the man are more visible.

This image was intended to be photographically artistic, meaning we are here because of our passion for photography and to let others see through our eyes. Photographers are monitors, we sit back observe and capture. Lets not get caught up in politics.

Bingo! You hit the photographic nail right dead-center! It is the place where this man can stand and show such a message that makes this such a powerful image. Unfortunately, there are some that are so full of "Bush Rage" they can only lash out and try to belittle others who understand and enjoy our freedoms.
Jim
ps---you have a very nice country up-there-about.

No, you missed the mark completely. The man making the statement owes his freedom and rights to people like my children who volunteer to protect the rest of us.

Here let me make it more clear... That well tailored, clean shaven and I am sure sweet smelling man has the right and freedom to call the President anything he likes because of people like my children who VOLUNTEER to do something for their country. Say what you want about our President, 9/11 was no lie and both my children went into service because of the attacks on our country. As for being the lowest common denominator of the people, I have a double bach. degree in history/poli sci with teaching credentials and working on a masters in admin. My wife is a teacher of learning disabled. My oldest son has a masters and the Air Force boy is working on a 5 year masters program in physics and calculus. Oh and the youngest among us, my reservist daughter is going for a masters in music performance. She plays three instruments VERY well and speaks three languages. If this is the lowest common denominator of people what a great country we have! It is the intellectual elitism you show that drives people cross-eyed. You assume that if an opinion is divergent from yours then those holding that opinion are less educated or informed.
And name calling only shows the true color of all who participate.
"Bushie" Jim

I don't think that this photograph is about the statement, it is about the right to make it.
This picture seems to capture a man celebrating that he is making his opinions heard.

To me, photography is about expressing your view of the world around you to others. This man has choosen another forum to do this, and I think that Dwayne has captured that very well.
