Nice shot, Brian. I wish you'd include some steam coming from the cup. I am also bothered by the way you placed the cup in this scene.

Thanks for the comments. I did try to get some shots with the steam but most just looked like a slight haze in the picture. If you have any suggestions on capturing steam I'd like to hear them.

I like it and I think if you could take a shot with steam coming from the coffee would be great too. However, great photo. I can smell the fresh brewed coffee from my monitor! :)

All depends on the effect you're going for Brian. My first reaction was "overdone". However, I've photographed lightning for several years and have not captured strikes as scroll-like as this (?). Good imagination. -john
