This image certainly portays the amazing talent of surfers - the wave is just awesome - love the colour in the translucent area - pity the foam seems over-exposed - were you zoomed in to maximum, 500mm?

Lovely image, Wes - I have my eye on a 500mm lens as well - don't you just love your Nikon D200? I'm still very unfamiliar with all its treasures, but can already see that this is a marvelous tool. Pity you couldn't get the top of the plover's head clear of the mud at the back, but charming, nevertheless.
